Tampieri Hungaria is a company established under Hungarian law and based in Budapest, which carries out trading activities in the oilseeds market. It also owns (in Győrszemere and Kisújszállás ) and rents cereal drying and storage facilities.
Further, it is in partnership with several Hungarian companies specialised in corn processing.
Tampieri Hungaria belongs to the Tampieri Group, a well-established Italian industrial entity that is active in a variety of economic sectors. In its plant in Faenza Tampieri processes sunflower seeds, corn germs and grape seeds to produce not only vegetable oils, but energy from renewable sources. Besides, it treats wastewater coming also from third parties. Finally, it develops, manufactures and markets cutting edge medical solutions in bio-ceramic material
Given the growing need to source raw materials for its plant in Faenza, Tampieri has been present in the Hungarian market since 2005. Hungary, just like Romania, is a country with a long agricultural tradition which is experiencing a steady growth in the cultivation of sunflower and corn. This choice proved to be strategic and, after years of trade relationships on its own behalf, in 2011 Tampieri decided to create Tampieri Hungaria. As years go by, this new company not only continues to secure the flow of raw materials to Italy, but has established important partnerships with several Hungarian businesses in the field of corn processing.
In 2019 Tampieri Hungaria purchased a storage facility located in Kisújszállás, in the Hungarian region of Észak-Alföld, which boasts excellent road and railway infrastructure. At present, this site has a total storage capacity of 18,500 tons, which can be doubled by exploiting its vast available areas. This investment has spawned other developments and allowed the Tampieri Group to further strengthen its market position.
